How does a JuiceMeter Work?
A JuiceMeter has a current sensor that clips over your mains feed to measure the current being consumed by the rest of the building.
By defining a load group in JuiceNet, the maximum consumption for the JuiceBox(s) and the rest of the building can be defined. This effectively subtracts the building’s demand from the available power for the JuiceBoxe(s) to ensure that the power supply to the building does not trip.
It also means that if the building is not drawing much power, more power is available to the JuiceBox(s) to charge vehicles faster.
JuiceBoxes working in conjunction with JuiceMeters and JuiceNet provide load sharing demand management between electric vehicle charging and the rest of the building.
